Uluru Travel Description

Our small group safari adventure tour offers a comprehensive experience of the major attractions in the Red Centre.

During the tour, we visited three iconic locations – Uluru, Kings Canyon, and Kata Tjuta – over a span of three days.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1987 due to its geological formations, flora and fauna, and natural beauty.

Your tour guide will provide detailed commentary as they take you on a journey through the Red Centre, revealing ancient stories, myths, secrets, and hidden gems along the way.

This tour offers fully accommodated options, including comfortable twin share safari tents for added privacy, comfort, and security, or the option to experience a traditional swag (canvas-covered bedroll).

Trips to Uluru Itinerary

From either Alice Springs or Yulara (Uluru Airport), we begin our journey towards Ayers Rock (Uluru). Along the way, we make a stop at Mt Conner’s lookout, also known as the False Uluru or Fool-uru, to admire the breathtaking views of this unique red mountain. Afterwards, we take a quick break at Curtin Springs for a restroom stop before heading to our campground for lunch. (Please note that this lunch arrangement is only applicable for guests being picked up from Alice Springs. Guests joining the tour from Ayers Rock will need to arrange their own lunch beforehand.)

After lunch, we visited the Red Centre’s cultural centre to learn about the park’s significance. We then go to Uluru and admire its magnificence up close. We hiked to the Mutitjulu waterhole and explored sacred rock art sites. We listened to ancient creation stories and continued hiking to Kuniya Piti. We drive to Kantju Gorge, passing sacred sites and arriving at the highest waterfall in Central Australia. We then witness a spectacular sunset over Uluru and have dinner cooked for us.
